Playing Cat and Mouse

I went on a long hike today. I haven't been in quite a while and it was so refreshing. I saw lots of wonderful things, but chose not to take my camera with me this time. But the real treat I discovered upon my arrival home. I walked in to put my pack down and I noticed Sydney crouched and staring very intently at the decorative pillow on the floor. I immediately said, "Uh oh." I thought to myself I bet its a mouse. See for yourself.

Cutest little mouse. I didn't have the heart to let Sydney have it. Look at those ears. Presently both cats are certain its still under the pillows but I saw it run into the closet. Off I go to get a box and take it outside. Wish me luck. These little things are fast and they can really jump.

Kitties and Cuteness

The girls and I decided to play in the warmth of the sunshine this afternoon. Check out Queen Sydney. Lol. I can't stop laughing about the photo below. Too funny. She is really a bright patch of joy in my life. And don't forget prim and proper Kia and her perfect poses.

Our version of children...

I hear... that having children makes you less selfish, more patient, forces you to grow in ways you never have, and all that good stuff. Well we don't have kids, but we do have kitties. Kitties that like to pee on things. And it has forced me to grow tremendously. TREMENDOUSLY. And now I have a partner along for the ride as well.

Sydney has decided to start peeing and pooping around the house. Not so funny when you are on your way out the door to work. This is the 4th or 5th time she's done this lately and today I was running behind so Alistair (who has gained quite a bit of experience in cat rearing) decided to handle the situation.

I walked into the kitchen to grab a quick breakfast before heading out the door and I stopped dead in my tracks. Huh... Here I was spreading every comforter and sheet out over the floor trying to spray the pee stains out before washing. Al just draped them one by one over the door.
How come I never thought of that?
